Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving and just the best Thanksgiving food!  It was kind of quiet this year with just one table.  It was the opposite year for most everyone so we had Mac and Jess, Caitlin and my Mom and Dad, and of course Ryan and I.  We even had one empty spot at the table! The company was fantastic and the food was terrific, it was a great Thanksgiving.

Here we are with all of the yummy food!

Here we are again and you can see Dad better, he was hiding in the first one.

Before we started we wrote what we were thankful for this year on a leaf for our thankful tree. Ryan was thankful for Life, Liberty and his wife!

I love Thanksgiving and all the food and time spent with family.  In the afternoon we worked on making more room for pie, checking out all of the black Friday deals, making some glitter balls for Christmas, watching football, taking a nap, and just enjoying the day.  This picture above wasn't from Thanks giving but from pie night another great tradition of this holiday.  Hope all of you had a great day as well. Now on to Christmas!!

Trevor's birthday and Pie Night!

This cute little munchkin turned one!

He is obsessed with anything techno.

Mary and Isaac had a great party for his first birthday and here is his darling cake.

All of the cousins were invited. and because they are boys most of the time is spent wrestling.

or showing off their muscles.

His gifts were a hit with everyone and he had so much help opening them.

The cake was definitely a hit with every one.

We sang and he tried to touch the candle out. Didn't quite figure out the blowing thing.

He got his very own smash cake.

He had eaten so much lasagne that it took him awhile to get into the cake.

Mm mm, I can even eat the truck!

now he is getting the hang of it.

Yummy!

Here try some Grandma!

Waiting for there turn.

McKenly brought her purse to the party.

See Grandma, I am definitely a girl.

Trevor got a bath after the smash cake.

Then last night we had Pie Night!  Here was my black berry kiwi pie.

Kace trying to show off his muscles and Lincoln checking out the Turkey Pops!

Mm mm more pies!

Uncle Jay teaching McKenly to stick her finger in all of the pies. You Know what happens when you have too many fingers in too many pies? (You become exhausted!)

Trevor enjoying his favorite flavor pie, (milk)

I want one of those and one of those.

and one of those and one of those.

Solving the world's problems.

Sneaking a smooch.

Cute!

Carson listening to the hunting stories.

Lincoln finally getting his Turkey pop!

McKenly playing with Grandpa.

and giving him loves.

Grandpa telling Carson about the finer points of life.

and McKenly cheesing it.  Yep, it was a pretty nice night!

Cider and pics you have to see!

If any of you didn't know Halloween is also Jessica's birthday! To celebrate her birthday we went to Calloway's to celebrate. Her one request was that we dress up for her dinner.  I wish I would have brought my camera but I did have my phone so these pics will just have to do. Mary came as a cute little German girl and Isaac was a Samurai.  Little Trevor looks like he saw a ghost in this one! (Maybe just the Samurai!)

Jessica even got Ryan to dress up, which is a miracle because he doesn't dress up for everyone.  I know his costume looks like the same one he wears every day. ( I think he came as a hunter cowboy?)

Trevor was a pumpkin and Lincoln was batman.

This is the picture you had to see, Mac as a pink ballerina!  Jessica was a skeleton.

The show afterwards in the parking lot was worth the whole night!  I didn't know overweight ballerina's had the moves he had. It was hilarious!

Rachel came dressed up as her sister and Nate just came as, I guess we decided it was a Peruvian sheep herder with some red branding paint is his hair.

Then yesterday we decided we had better get our cider done! (I know it is a little late and it was the biggest snowstorm we have had all season but better later than never and the apples really were ready!)

We moved the process into the shed where we have a heater because it was bitter cold outside.

Lincoln loved throwing in the apples.

Actually he shared the chair with McKenly because I think she loved throwing in the apples more.

See she got too hot so she took her coat off.  Actually she almost did a head dive into the barrel of apples and got her coat all wet.

Isaac was the apple strainer. (This one looks like we are making a little moonshine in our shed! I knew we were a bunch of red necks!)  It was fun and the cider had just the right amount of sweet and tart and it is delicious!!! Thanks everyone for the help!
