Cowboy Up
Kace and Tydon came to visit on Friday night and Kace had to dress up in his favorite red cowboy boots. Caitlin decorated this room for her senior project and it is all cowboy. When Kace comes he finds his red cowboy boots which he has hidden in the treasure chest,( I am not sure who he thinks is going to take them, maybe grandpa might get a hankering to put those red cowboy boots on and do a dance for me one night) any way he always hides them before he leaves. We tried to get Tydon to dress up but he was not going to have anything to do with any cowboy hat, he did love the guns though and riding the swing horse. Tydon is feeling better but is not quite back to full speed maybe that is a good thing because he is not called the destroyer for no reason. We love when they come to visit and are glad that the cowboy room is getting good use!
So blessed!
Lately it seems like I have just had this outpouring of love for my family. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband, he is the best, best friend that I could ask for. He is so patient with me and our two kiddos. And is an amazing example of selfless love and charity. He has a way of putting me in my place, and helping me realize things, and seeing the other side and a different perspective of things. For my children, what can I say... I just love them to pieces!! Jaedon is such a wonderful brother to Livy and just absolute loves her. Olivia feels the same way about Jaedon too. It is so fun to sit there and just watch them interact with one another. I just LOVE my family!!

The before and after...

This last week I went to Reno to help Rainee with her painting project. She is getting carpet in a few weeks and she wanted to change her paint color. It took us a couple of days and we remembered by the last day why we had Mac and Caitlin with us the last time we did this project. Caitlin was a great baby
sitter and we needed Mac to reach the 16 foot ceiling edges, he did it for us last time because we were all too scared to be up that high. The end result was great, after all our hard work we really liked the paint color and Rainee was excited to have it all finished. It is kind of hard to see the color in these picutures because there is so much light in her rooms but I think you can get the idea. The color of the walls is called "spiced vinegar" and the arch and dividing wall we did in a darker color of the same
hue and it was called "jute
". The colors are very warm and gave a whole new feel to her room. She is now excited for the carpet to come!
She has some more pictures to hang and then it will be finished.
Not Surprising
What's Your True Color?
My Result: Blue
You're blue — the most soothing shade of the spectrum. The color of a clear summer sky or a deep, reflective ocean, blue has traditionally symbolized trust, solitude, and loyalty. Most likely a thoughtful person who values spending some time on your own, you'd rather connect deeply with a few people than have a bunch of slight acquaintances. Luckily, making close friends isn't that hard, since people are naturally attracted to you — they're soothed by your calming presence. Cool and collected, you rarely overreact. Instead, you think things through before coming to a decision. That level-headed, thoughtful approach to life is patently blue — and patently you!
What are you?

Nate's eye

I put this story on my blog as well, just so you can read it twice! It is that good, now that is, it wasn't at the time.
Well, this weekend has been a very eventful (I don't really have another word for it) one for our family. Let's start the story, which I will tell, if and only if you promise NOT to make fun of me. On Friday morning Nate went down to play basketball and he called me to tell me he was on his way home and that his eye got cut. He asked if we had any liquid bandage or super glue that we could put on his cut. I said that I had bought some for when Ty cut his nose. So I got the stuff out and prepared for his arrival. Well, when he got home he laid down on the bed and told me to just put a little bit on and to be careful. I was VERY CAREFUL and just let a drop come out, but immediately it went ALL over his eye. He jumped up screaming that his eye was super glued and that he couldn't open it. He was also saying (yelling) that the super glue was on his eyeball. AUGHHHHH!!!! Not a good day at the jones'. He asked me to read the box and find out how to get the stuff off. So I got the box and all I could find was, "don't use on face." "don't use near eyes." Great, that doesn't help now does it. So I called the number on the box and they said to use eye makeup remover and/or canola oil. After about an hour of scrubbing and picking, he could open his eye part way. After awhile longer he could open it fully, but it was very sore and raw and very very red. Later he got an infection in it, but don't worry it is all doing much better now. So just remember not to use liquid bandage and/or super glue on faces and espcially not near EYES! and also a note to self: rachel is NOT a nurse! don't laugh
Oh, and Nate is obviously very happy to have me take this picture

The Snow and Oh Ryan...
We took some pictures of the snow around our house yesterday and I thought you might like to see some of them. We have had 3 major storms this last week and needless to say we have a lot of snow! Saturday was nice and we actually could go outside and enjoy it, Today the sun is shining bright and it feels nice to see the sun again. Our plow truck's 4 wheel drive broke this last week and Dad said he thought he should buy a new plow truck. I told him that we really didn't need to get another plow truck because we don't really need 2 plow trucks and that we should just get the truck fixed. Then I told him later besides I would rather have another 4 wheeler if you are going to spend the money. Well the next day this is what was in our driveway, so we now have another 4 wheeler with a plow. Dad is funny, I have to be careful what I suggest because the power of suggestion is great in Ryan Jones' eyes. I am grateful for him though and he will have to tell you all about the monster cross country ski trip he took yesterday, I am glad it didn't kill him off. I think all of you know what his hikes are like, well just put a pair of cross country ski's on and go straight up a mountain for 5 miles and then ski another 15 and that is his trip. He said he went a little beyond what his body could do. We will have to get him to tone down his trips! I still love him though and glad that he is alive and well.

The Latest...
Jaedon's latest thing to do lately is want to get into bed with Livy in her crib. It is pretty cute because he will make sure that the covers are over Livy, because "don't want Livy get cold." And then he will lay down and cover himself and smile and they say, "2 kiddos." It is pretty cute!

The other latest thing for Jaedon is he wants his picture taken ALL the time. But he doesn't just sit there and smile and look cute and innocent, he has to come up with all these silly poses and faces. And then has to see how the picture turned out, "Leme see, leme see." So here is one in action. Love it!!
