The Marriott reunion

For the Marriott reunion we went to the pool in Brigham city. It was a hot day and the pool felt great!

I always loved family reunions when the were at the pool because I love being in the water and apparently so does all of my grand kids. Here is Bryce's signature grin , wink!

Evan had to show me how he could dive in the pool and swim back to the edge

Here is his approach, sorry I missed the first dive.

Here he is making it back to the edge.

This is his second dive and I got it this time.

Carson is going to show me his dive too.

I almost got it! I think he was trying a flip!

McKenly loved the shallow pool and just loved the water in general.

Tydon does great with his water wings.

Here is his dive off the edge.

and here is Layne's karate dive off the edge.

Love goggle pictures.

Here is how brave Bryce is, I say brave because last year he wouldn't even get wet!

Now look at him!

More goggle pictures!

Lincoln loved the slide as well.

and Trevor loooved the slide!

He did take this grin off of his face the whole night.

Just one right after the other.

again and again!

McKenly is about ready to cal it a day.

Yep, she is ready for her nap.
WE were watching Trevor go down the slide when all of the sudden I looked for Lincoln and there he was at the top of the big slide.  He had walked all the way up the stairs by himself and was standing at the top ready to go down.  I asked Mary if he had ever gone down by himself and she  said, "No!" so we ran over from the small slide to get the to big slide before he got to the bottom.  I really didn't think that the lifeguard at the top would let him go down but he signaled him down and away he went! We got to the bottom just as he came down. Isaac said, " do you want to to it again?" and Lincoln whole hardheartedly said, "Yes!"

4th of July

I know it is past the 4th of July but I had to post these cute pictures.  Caitlin, Rainee's family and I went to Liberty days and checked out the fun!  This little caterpillar ride is always a favorite. McKenly though it was pretty fun.

and so did Bryce!

Carson wanted to try the hatchet throw. He did stick a couple.

and of course if Carson did it Evan had to, he kind of scared me with his form, I was afraid that he was going to chop off his ear!

We got hot and decided to eat our lunch at the campground and cool off in the river.  Under the bridge we saw this nest with these little birds in it, waiting for their mom to come back in feed them.

We were going to stay a for the fish catch at the park but decided that this would be better,  Grandpa does have his very own fish pond and the fish are definitely bigger that what you would have caught at the park!

It is always fun when you can reel a big one in.

McKenly found some shade with Grandma Shaw.

Evan helped land this one and wanted to take it home and eat it!

Good job Evan, great catch ( thanks to Chance for snagging it.)
It was a fun and hot 4th!

Back packing

I have to post about this adventure because Mr. Jones has told me several times how happy he was that I went on this adventure with him.  He will say, "You just don't know how happy I was to have the 2 loves of my life at the same time." (the out doors and me!) It was a fun trip even though having a back pack on makes it a little more challenging.  I loved the trail to Lewis peak and I especially loved it when we got off of it and went trekking across the side of a mountain in brush up to my waist and I realized how much nicer it is to hike with a 30 pound pack on your back on a groomed trail.  When I was going across the side of the mountain it felt like I was going to trip, lose my balance and go barreling down to the bottom of the mountain.

Nate, Rachel and Kace went with us as well and it was good to have Rachel with me.  Kace loved it and didn't want to get off of the mountain.

Kace especially loved that Ryan brought his pocket rocket and we could actually have hot food! I couldn't believe how much Kace ate for breakfast.  He looks like he is eying that food pretty carefully.

It was a beautiful sight to wake up to, and you did feel like you were, "On Top of the World!"

Kace even packed his own bed roll and water.

Thanks Kace for being my bud!

See, we are on top of the world!

Nate I think could be a mountain goat, he pretty much goes all over the mountain.

The love of my life too!

Thanks for the hiking, views and rocks in my back, my bed the next night felt so good!

To the zoo!

We went to the zoo this last week The Cannons, Jones' and Caitlin and Jocelyn went with us.  It was kind of a warm day but it was still fun. The boys love this elephant that spurts them with water and they all wanted a turn to get "spurted"!

Any time we found one of these metal animals, McKenly wanted to get on and get her picture taken, ( has she done this before?) anyway she was a natural. Love the face Bryce has, he has a cute little wink.

Carson had a great pose for this nest.

We went to the new polar bear exhibit and there were sea lions and porpoises. It was pretty cool, (no pun intended.)

Here he is.

The great white polar bear.

This was one of the bear skins.

Checking out another metal, I think it is a bear.

They had lots of misters going and they felt gooood!

Checking out the tigers.

Another metal animal pose.

I think every one has a picture of this.

The troop.

McKenly took a liking to Jocelyn because she got a "free ride."

Checking out the Giraffe's I think.

Yes, it was the giraffe's!

almost an adult.

tortoise Layne.

just hatched Caitlin.

crocodile Dundee Carson.

spider man Bryce.

slip-pin and slid-in McKenly.

It usually ends with the water world.

It was a great day!

We ended it at temple square ( well, Caitlin, Jocelyn and I did,)and this was the only picture I got.
But it is a pretty great picture, if I say so myself.
