It's Christmas!!

So Christmas has come and gone all ready, as we all know. I'm sure some of us are sad, and some are probably so glad that it is finally over. My husband though, has settled into a deep depression now that Christmas is over. He loves the excitement, and once that is gone, that is when it starts going down hill. Me on the other hand, I am happy to finally play and enjoy the things that we got. (Jon really isn't depressed, I was joking, but he does hate it when the excitement of Christmas is gone.)Jaedon understood Christmas, and Santa, alittle bit this year, and so it was quite exciting. He was funny though, when he first came out he couldn't believe his eyes, and was hesitant at going to open and play with his toyrs, but then we told him it was finally okay to open the presents, because he tries to open one atleast every day, and we would have to tell him no. He wanted to play with each toy right then, so opening the presents took some time. Olivia on the other hand... well, lets just say she is 3 months old, so of course she had no clue what was going on, and could care less. But we had a very good Christmas, and hope everyone else did as well.Jaedon and his new table and chairs, and color wonder mess free coloring booksTaking in all of Christmas and enjoying some chocolate!!Little miss Livy lovin' her doll and puppy

stitch boy

Well, by now I am sure that all of you have heard about ty's stitch incident. However, if by chance you didn't hear about it, it goes like this.......We went to print some pictures and the picture place has some toys to occupy the children. Well Kace and Tydon were playing with them in the other room and when I was just about done I looked over to check on them and just as I did that I saw Ty fall on this 'stage-like' thing. He hit it just right and out came the blood. We took him to the doctor but he didn't want to touch it because it was on his face and there was a lip (on the cut), so he said to go to the ER and they would call a plastic surgeon over from Logan. So FINALLY (after about 4 hours) of waiting the doc came and we got it done. Today we got them out and it looks great! Anyway, it was a LONG day but it didn't seem to phase him much. The first picture is earlier that day (of the accident) I found him in the cupboard with everything all over! He looked cute! The next pic is right after his stitches with the bandage and the third is on Christmas of the stitches! Hope you all had a merry one! I will post some more Christmas pics later. love you all!

Scary Monsters!

Jaedon and I have really been enjoying my Christmas vacation. We play all day, everyday and it has been a lot of fun. One of our favorite games is "Scary Monsters". This is how we play: We get on the bed and throw the covers over our heads, seal out all the light so it is pitch dark, and then Jaedon lights up the dark with a keychain pig I got from school (it oinks and its nostrils light up when you push the button). We yell out "Scary Monsters" and then all chaos breaks loose as we struggle to throw the covers off of us and run for our lives.

Well, the other day I was channel surfing with Jaedon on my lap. We wandered across a channel that depicted two individuals of the opposite sex hiding under the covers, doing who knows what! Without skipping a beat, Jaedon yelled out "Daddy", pointed to the TV, and said "playing scary monsters!" Both Mel and I chuckled as I reassured him that they were, in fact, playing scary monsters and I quickly changed the channel. You have to love that little child innocence!

Shaw Christmas party

We had our Shaw Christmas party on Sunday evening and it was fun to see everyone and I wanted to share with those of you who were unable to attend. We missed you but maybe these pictures and video will help you feel like you were there. We had the girls sing Happy Birthday to Mac and we had a readers theater and sang songs and ate and it was great!

Freezing Rain!!

We have had 2 ice storms this past week. They call it "Freezing Rain", which means when you look outside it is raining, but as soon as the rain hits the ground, it freezes! And it really does! It is pretty cool to watch, but also dangerous of course. Then the trees look like they are glass! Definitely something we have never experienced out West. But we didn't have church on Sunday due to the storm, and we have been blessed that we were one of the few with power. I heard on the news that Hershey was one of the worst hit, and they issued a "state of emergency" due to all of the power outages. I am not sure if they even have the power on yet, but I know for sure that some people in our ward haven't had it for 2 days. So now they are trying to clean up all the debris from the trees and their branches that have fallen off. There was even a tree that was almost split in half near our entrance to our apartments. Crazy weather out here!!

Merry Christmas!

Ty didn't know quite what to think of Santa he just stared and stared and stared...........!
Kace on the other hand was very excited. He told Santa that he wants and surprise and Spiderman #3.
Ty kept putting on (and off) and on (and off) Nate's hat. I just thought he looked cute!

Happy Birthday "Bomppa"!

Happy Birthday Dad...and Grandpa, or as Jaedon says it, Bomp-pa! I tried to get him on video saying happy birthday grandpa, and I took a million videos and tried and tried to get him to say all of it before he would try and see himself on the camera. But I hope you are having a wonderful day and wanted you to know that we are thinking about you, and love you!!

The Christmas Party

Well I had my work OR party at our house and it was a success. We had fun and I finally got everything ready in the house. I have been working on getting the projects done that have bothered me for awhile then I got down to the cleaning part and finally the decorating part. I took pictures of the house because you will probably never see it this clean. Ryan said it looked like no one lived here and Caitlin said that's the point Dad it's supposed to look like no one lives here. Well it was that way for one night and now we are back to living it it. I also took some pictures of Kace on Santa's lap at our ward Christmas breakfast. It was fun! It was nice to wake up and not have to cook breakfast and just go to the ward in your pj's if you wanted too. We had a fun weekend!

Here comes Santa Claus!!

We had our ward Christmas party last night, and Santa Claus was coming to visit! Our church of all places, considering he is so busy at this time of year. But Jaedon had never met Santa face to face before, so he was very excited! All day he kept telling us that we were going to see Santa Claus! So Jon and I were curious to see how he would react when he actually saw him and sat on his lap. Well, Jaedon waited patiently in line and when it was his turn he jumped right up there on Santa's lap, but then something happened. The kid just FROZE! He wouldn't look at Santa and just kept his head down. He wouldn't even look up at me, or Jon, to take the picture! He did of course take the chocolate sucker that Santa gave to him. Now we will just have to wait and see if we can see him on Christmas!!

monster wrestle!

Last night we had a wrestle! I thought it was so funny every time Ty would roll over on top of Kace. Kace was really gentle with him too, so they both had a lot of fun and there was a lot of laughing!

We did this activity of course after "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer" because Kace has been checking the TV listings everyday for Christmas shows. It reminds me of what I did when I was little!

The puppies

Well we had a photo shoot last night with the puppies. we decided we better get some pictures of them so that people could see how cute they are and want to but them for Christmas. They should be ready for Christmas because they already have their teeth and Maggie's even are trying to eat. They are cute and I hope that we can sell them all by Christmas. We have Maggie's in the garage and Lily's are now in the garden shed. They have warmers in their dog houses to keep them warm. I need Caitlin here to hold them because she is worried that they are not going to be very social because I am not the dog trainer that Caitlin is. I will try and hold them more because they really are cute. The last picture is of Dad and I think it is quite cute too!

Christmas Doll

So here is little miss Olivia in the Christmas outfit that mom, well, grandma Jones gave her back in May. I thought I better hurry and get her in it before she grows out of it. My favorite part is the buttons busting at the seams due to her pot-belly!! Love it!!
