August is almost gone...

These pictures are kind of in here backwards if you were doing the month chronologically. But it will take more work to rearrange them, so we will start with Colter and Cole's wedding. It was such a happy day and I was so glad that we were able to get back from Reno so we could attend. Don't they both just look so happy!

It was fun to attend the ceremony and then the luncheon and learn more about Cole. (Colter she is quite a catch!)

Shawnee and Colter.

The happy couple.

Val and Cole. Ooh, I love those flowers.

Just waiting for more pictures.

The Morby family.

The siblings.

The friends and the shining star of the day.

The Temple.

We just got back from seeing all of these little kiddo's and attending Layne's baptism when we went to the wedding the next day.

The Cannon Family at Layne's baptism.

Evan taking a picture of his grandma and him.

Evan taking a picture of his grandma. (he would have taken pictures all day if I would have let him.

Right before the baptism.

After the baptism, I think McKinley forgot to look at the camera, but you get to see how cute the back of her hair is!

And she loved loved these shoes, she was doing her "goose step so she could get a good look at them while she was walking.)
It has been a busy month and so much has happened. While we were driving home from Reno I was lamenting that I wished they lived a little closer so we could see them more often.  Little did I know that in a few days I would get a call from Rainee telling me that Doug got a job in Sal Lake City!! Who knew I would get my wish so soon!
We have spent this last week with the Cannon's while they have been trying to find a house! Wow, so much has happened in this month and we can't wait for them to be here permanently, which will probably be in about 3 weeks!!

Birthdays

Last Sunday we celebrated Nate and Isaac's birthday, they are getting old and it is making me feel so much older! We had delicious chicken and shrimp, salad, vegetables (from the garden), rolls and delicious chocolate zucchini cake.

Trevor is always a bundle of smiles. He loves Aunt Rachel.

He, meaning, Trevor just learned how to stick out his tongue and he wanted to show Mac how it goes.

Nate got a fishing pole and

Isaac got a fishing pole! Now they are ready for the end of the summer.

Oops, Lincoln jumped and missed the landing and hit his chin, which caused him to bite his lip. Sorry Lincoln.
If you chance to meet a frown, do not let it stay...

Quickly turn it upside down and smile that frown away.

Caitlin's baby bulldogs got plenty of attention.

Tydon is sure that all of them love him, even though they are so sad.

This one loves him,

and this one loves him,

and this one especially loves him.

They love Caitlin too, see how happy they are.

They love Lincoln.

and Tydon loves them.

You can hardly resist these little sad faces.

I think she has all of them sold but 3 little girls.

While we were playing with the puppies, Trevor found a flower pot. I think he is taking after his Aunt Mel, she looooved eating dirt!

Checking out the mountain with the range finder, What are you seeing Mac?

Then it was onto the games, Nate and Mac made this game up of catching the football on the tramp.

You can get a lot of altitude!

and Nate made sure the passes were good and high, so he had to jump!

Yep, that one was way high, (no, he didn't jump off of the tramp.)

Here is little Ty, "Just watching the game!" with little Trevor copying everything he does. Don't you just want to grab that little tongue!
Here is Mac, the video isn't that great, but you get the point. Happy Birthday Isaac and Nate!!

A visit to Tahoe

We had to take a trip to this beautiful Lake while we are visiting the Cannon's. Every time I come I am captured by how beautiful and clear this lake is.

McKenly is getting ready for the day with plenty of sunscreen and of course she has to show off her cute suit!

She loves to come and play in the sand while her brothers explore.

We decided to tag along on their exploring trip which included catching Crawdads.

We went out around the edge of the lake to the best finding spots.  They said that the best ones are found in the rocks.

In some of the areas you need to get into the water so you can get to the "good"spots.

We made it to the "good spot.

rock climbing over the rocks is part of the adventure.

Of course the reason we are here is because of this new 8 year old. He is going to be baptized on Saturday.

Th nets are ready and we are ready to start finding these craw daddies.

I think I see a big craw daddy coming out from around this big rock!

No, this is just a "big Daddy".

McKenly is going to stay away from these craw daddies because she remembers what it felt like when she got pinched last time.

Here are some of the first ones we caught.

Keep watching they eventually come out to get the bait.

Bryce they are going to pinch your nose!

After swimming out to the buoy, we were ready for our picture

Even these geese like the beach.

We packed up our gear and took our craw daddies home.

This was the big Daddy of them all!

Putting them in the boiling water. "Help, I'm burning", we heard them say.

They all wanted a turn throwing them into the pot.

They were delicious and we ate everyone of them!! It was a great day at the Lake.
