Couldn't have asked for more!

This was my birthday week and since it is a birthday week, don't you celebrate every day???
Well, we did! The Cannon's came to visit and we had a party everyday!
I got this cool chalk cloth that you can put on your table and then write or draw to your hearts content. The boys got up early and started drawing.

Here is Evan showing off his masterpiece.

Bryce liked it too!

Carson just had his tonsils out and he thought it was great too, by the end of the week he was back to his normal self.  For the first few days I think he must have eaten about 75 Popsicles!

Layne showing his masterpiece.

Wednesday was  a pretty nice day,(until late afternoon) We spent the day outside raking and building a fire and eating smores and hot dogs.

Evan ready to take a bite of his delicious smore, (he is such a funny kid)

Carson even tried a little bit. Even if your throat hurts, you can't resist a smore!

Our smoky fire, we all smelled so good later.

McKenly loved the marshmallow, (who am I kidding, this girl just loves food!)

See I told you she loves food!

Jumping on the tramp, this little girl is definitely the princess in this household, I loved to see how respectful all of the boys are to this little girl.

On Friday,(my birthday!) We went antique shopping and made some cute jewelry, you will have to go to my other blog to see that. It was a fun day and the boys were all at Rachel and Nate's so just the girls went shopping!

On Saturday we had our big egg hunt and Grandma and Grandpa Shaw came up for the festivities.
Kace you are so cool :) This is getting ready for the hunt!

Still waiting...

Grandpa got a head start! He found one!

Kind of a normal picture

Yea, we have to have  a crazy one!

Bryce found one!

Tydon was just excited to be hunting!

McKenly thought finding the eggs were pretty cool but she loved opening them, when she found out what was inside it slowed her hunting down to a slow crawl.

Layne found a bunch!

Lincoln thought it was pretty great as well.(he loved the chocolate!)

Tydon was the winner of the big egg and he told his Mom the $10 is his!

Layne and Kace are best buds.

Isaac found these treasures up in them there hills!

We had a contest at the end to find the big candy bars and this is get ready, get set,

GO!

Taking a break on the swing.

After all of the hunting we were hungry and I should have got a picture of all of the food. Here is a picture of my favorite, it was Macadamia nuts crushed on Ma hi, Ma hi, then topped with a pineapple mango sauce, Oh, man was it ever good!!!

And of course strawberry shortcake, (my favorite!)

I got these beautiful roses and jars from Mr. Jones. We had to laugh because he was into getting everything big this year!

I got this big silver bowl, this picture does not do it justice, I probably need to put a few kids in it to show you how big it really is.  It measures about 3 ft across! I am going to have to bring it to the next potluck party with a salad in it, IT IS HUGE!

Then my own personal bell (I guess to call him whenever I need him!) It is big as well.

Jessica helped me rearrange the piano room so that I could put my next gift in this room.
We took everything out of the room and started all over. This is the best way to rearrange a room because then you just put back in what you really want to. It was great to have a second perspective while we were doing this.

Here is what we made room for! Thanks Mom and Dad for bringing this up! I love it! This was my great grandmother's buffet that we figured she got for her wedding present, it was made in 1908 and they were married in 1908. I have always remembered this in my grandmother's house in her dining room and always thought it looked so cool,(even as a little girl) Then my Mom inherited it and now I have inherited it from her!
It was  a great gift and I was not expecting it , it was a big surprise!

Here is a last picture of the piano rearranged as well. The checkerboard was from Nauvoo and was a gift as well from a previous birthday!
It was a great week and I couldn't have asked for more!
I love this time of year maybe because of my birthday and maybe because  today is the day I married the love of my life! I love you Ryan, thanks for a great birthday and for being my best friend forever!
