The DEVASTATION

So we moved everything out of the house and moved to our new home.  We came up on a Friday to do a final walk through before our home was sold.  We came to this devastation.  A hot water pipe had broken in the upstairs laundry room and the water had been running for 4 days.
There are not words or tears that can express how I felt when we walked into this.  I had a push broom and broomed water for 4 hours before the crew came to help with the cleanup.  Needless to say the house was a disaster and pretty much a total loss. I cried until I couldn't cry any longer and then tried to see the blessings in this trial.

There was water everywhere and water on every surface.

It filled up the heat ducts and poured into the basement.

These are pictures of the downstairs bathroom.

Water, water, water...

I couldn't look any more, my beautiful house, gone.

This is the garage and even water came down the walls and ruined it as well.

It's amazing the devastation that water can do.

Someone could have come in and totally trashed the place and it couldn't have been worse.

After the cleanup, they went right down to the studs.

damage even where the water didn't go, just from the condensation.

The blessing was the new owner got to have a new home when all was said and done.

The Move

It has been a while but because I want to record what has happened in the last year and remember with pictures the home we loved in Cub River.
It starte in April of 2014 that we decided that we probably would not live in our home in Cub river the rest of our lives.  We put our home up for sale and in what I would call a "Death March Marathon"  we got the house ready and had some giant Hoard Sales.
This was our fruit room, don't ask me how I boxed all of this stuff up, but I did.

The exercise room which used to be Isaac's room.

My sewing room with so much fabric, I'm sure if I died, I would be the winner.

The upstairs hallway.

The guest room.

The office with enough books to start my own library.

More of our office where we spent most of our time.

The pantry.

The laundry room

The hall way going down stairs.

The grandkid room where there were more toys to put away than you knew what to do with them.

My "WANTED" posters of those I love.

Caitlin's sky room.

another guest room that was known as "Mac's" room

The downstairs bathroom, There were 5 bathrooms in this house and I really don't miss cleaning all of them.

The downstairs family room.

more of the family room

The kitchen that was painted so many times.

But I think I loved the white cabinets the most.

There was tons of storage in this kitchen.

The hang out spot.

Built -ins every where.
These are just a few of the pictures of the inside.
We made lots of changes and loved living in this home.
