We had to take a trip to this beautiful Lake while we are visiting the Cannon's. Every time I come I am captured by how beautiful and clear this lake is.
McKenly is getting ready for the day with plenty of sunscreen and of course she has to show off her cute suit!
She loves to come and play in the sand while her brothers explore.
We decided to tag along on their exploring trip which included catching Crawdads.
We went out around the edge of the lake to the best finding spots. They said that the best ones are found in the rocks.
In some of the areas you need to get into the water so you can get to the "good"spots.
We made it to the "good spot.
rock climbing over the rocks is part of the adventure.
Of course the reason we are here is because of this new 8 year old. He is going to be baptized on Saturday.
Th nets are ready and we are ready to start finding these craw daddies.
I think I see a big craw daddy coming out from around this big rock!
No, this is just a "big Daddy".
McKenly is going to stay away from these craw daddies because she remembers what it felt like when she got pinched last time.
Here are some of the first ones we caught.
Keep watching they eventually come out to get the bait.
Bryce they are going to pinch your nose!
After swimming out to the buoy, we were ready for our picture
Even these geese like the beach.
We packed up our gear and took our craw daddies home.
This was the big Daddy of them all!
Putting them in the boiling water. "Help, I'm burning", we heard them say.
They all wanted a turn throwing them into the pot.
They were delicious and we ate everyone of them!! It was a great day at the Lake.
