I realized on this trip that when you turn 30 it is all downhill from there. My age really showed on this trip. I thought I was doing so good when I packed everything. We got over to Jack London Square which is some shops and restaurants along the coast. We got in the parking lot and I went to the back of the car and realized I did not pack the double stroller. I couldn't believe it. Why would I do that to myself? Needless to say I got the privilege of carrying Bryce everywhere. We then went to the A's vs. Red Sox game. The boys favorite part was the cotton candy. We only lasted through the 6th inning. The next day we went to the Monterey Aquarium. That was fun. But they don't rent strollers so I got to carry Bryce everywhere. Bryce loved looking at the fish. The boys loved that they had so many hands on displays. I am amazed to see how many different kinds of life God created which I know each has a specific purpose.
On our way home we stopped at the Santa Cruz boardwalk which is a good old-fashioned amusement park on the beach with all the carnival games, rides, and food. We rode some rides and ate some junk food the boys loved it. Layne states that this was his favorite part.
On Sunday we were going to church when my age got in the way again. I had forgotten to pack Doug's Sunday clothes. I had packed everyone else's but his. So we had a short lesson that Carson gave us and then we went to the beach and played in the sand. There are some pictures of that. Layne and Carson got some kelp and they turned them into Indiana Jones' whip. I would show you how this worked but my age got in the way again. I forgot to recharge my battery on my camera so it died shortly before this happened.
On Monday we went to the San Francisco Zoo. They did have wagon rentals which we did. I love the Zoo and it was great to do on my birthday.

Oh My Fish!

Hello fish lovers! As you can see the Joneses cleaned up on the big ones. The first picture is of the Friday catch. The fish Isaac is holding is Nate's big Porky Pig of the Pond fish. I have never seen such a fat fish in my life. It was 25 inches long
and had a girth of 18 inches. The other fish are probably 3 to 4 pounders and are 19 to 20 inches long and are really good fish, but look little in comparison. The next picture is of Mac holding Nates monster. This is in the parking lot of the Ashton Inn in Ashton, Idaho. Isaac and I met Nate and Mac on Friday night as Isaac had to work Friday. The next picture is of Isaac's Monster when we got home Saturday night.
The last two are of Isaac's monster in the boat right after he landed it. These fish were full of fresh water shrimp and are so orange meated and fat. They have so much fat on them.

This fish
is 30 inches long and has a girth of 20 inches. It was a female as when we cleaned it there were still a few eggs left inside. It was taken from Henry's Lake on 31 May using a black and gold Panther Martin.

75 Years old!
This last week we celebrated Dad's or Grandpa's birthday. He is 75 years old and he is looking pretty good. We all love grandpa and we went and had a party at Grandma and grandpa's. We had buffalo burgers and had a yummy barbeque and of course had ice ream and cake. We think Dad is our hero and we all love to be around and with him, we are glad that you made it to 75 years and are looking forward to at least 25 more years!

Elder Jones is back!
We have had a busy week but it has been one that we have been looking forward to for awhile. On Friday we all went to Salt Lake to be together with our family and wait for the arrival of Elder Jones. We went to the zoo and were so glad that the rain stopped while we were there. We had so much fun looking at and being the animals and the boys and Olivia had so much fun playing together. It was a beautiful day and we were mostly just glad to be with each other. We spent the day having fun and then went to eat and then to the hotel to wait for Mac to arrive at the airport. He didn't get in until 8:25pm so we watched the Jazz game and had fun getting aquainted with Olivia, Bryce, and Tydon. Some of us were seeing these new babies for the first time. We then all shuttled over to the airport and waited for Mac to arrive. We had a big sign with his picture on it and we knew when his plane arrived because the people coming down the escalator would tell us," He's on the plane we saw him," and another said,"he is at the very back of the plane, He's coming!" So that made us even more excited to see him. I don't think there is a more exciting day in the life of my children than seeing them walk down the steps to greet his family after being gone for 2 years, the glow on their face is priceless. I even have to stop and watch missionaries I don't know when I am in the airport because it is so fun to watch. We were all excited to see him and give him our big hugs. Welcome back Mac, we are glad to have you home!!

I am glad it is this week
I am very glad to have last week over with and I am sure those of you that are in school will have the same feeling when this week is over. It was a very busy week for me and with having Stake Leadership, Speaking in Stake Conference, and our Gold and Green Ball, I felt a little overwhelmed. After speaking at Stake Conference it was a great feeling of relief, Ryan said I did great but it is such a stress to speak in front of so many people. So needless to say I am glad that his week is here, now I can look forward to Mac coming home and seeing all of my family together. How great will that be!!!! So I am looking forward to seeing all of you!

We have been married 33 years!
Today Ryan and I have been married for 33 years, that seems like forever but it just seems like yesterday that we went to the Ogden temple to be sealed for time and all eternity. I have been very blessed to have such a great spouse and we still have a lot of fun together. I can't beleive that the time has passed so quickly. We have been blessed with 6 beautiful children and now we have 4 of their spouses to add to our family and from that we have 7 grandsons and one grand daughter. Like the song our family just goes on and on. We are so thankful for all of you and for the happiness and joy you have brought to our lives! We are looking forward to another 33 years.

A week of Boys
Yesterday was Layne's and Carson's first baseball games of the season. They did great and had fun. Bryce and Evan just played in the dirt for 4 hours. You can tell from Evan's picture that he even has dirt in his teeth. Bryce's favorite part was the snowcone. He ate the entire thing by himself. The other pictures are of their miscellaneous antics throughout the week. We love you.

General Conference
I thought General Conference was great and I enjoyed all of the speakers and being able to participate in the solemn assembly. The weather wasn't really great but because of the weather you just wanted to sit inside and watch it, so I guess that was a good thing. Caitlin brought up two boys from Scotland that are visiting here and they were going to attend 2 sessions of conference. It was really fun to hear their accents and to talk with them about Scotland. The oldest one is putting his papers in to go on a mission when he returns. It made me realize how small the world is and that the church is the same all over the world, I also realized that if so many members travel such far distances to come to conference that maybe we should appreciate more what we have so close to us. We went down to Liberty to watch conference with Grandpa and Grandma Shaw and yes they are the winners! They have so much more snow, I think it will still be here in May!!!
